Cosmetics 101
Have you ever purchased cosmetics that didn't live up to its claim? I know I sure have. Too many duds to name. About two years ago I got the notion to start my own cosmetics company. I wanted to specialize in eyeshades that were so pigmented that it could be seen on the darkest of dark shades of people. I went as far as to get a business tax ID and looked at companies that could help me develop the line but I quickly got discouraged at how much money it would take.
I am going to start the process again! I am more excited this time around than I was last time. I plan to do ALOT more researching and developing. I'm going to have to write a list of all the things I will need to do along with the estimated capital needed to start.
If you or anyone you know has ever started a business then any advice would be great! Stay tuned for more to come... I just might have a contest for a brand logo where the winner would get to try some products out!
Can you tell I'm excited just thinking about it!!!!

Urban Decay Haul
I finally snagged a book of shadows 4! I wasn't going to purchase one but then it went on sale for $44 and I was able to get an additional $15 off bringing it to a whopping $29 for 16 full sized eyeshadows and all of the extras that the palette comes with! I thought it was too good of a deal to pass up.
I also picked up the eyeshadow pencils as they were originally around $39 (I think) but were on sale for $19! Great deal.
Here is a screen shot of my order:
With free shipping on $35+ order I only spent $51 and change!

Teal Dreams
Here's another makeup look by yours truly!
For this look, I used a mixture of pigments and pan eyeshadow. On the inside corner I used naked dark and melon MAC pigments. The teal color is MAC surf baby. The litter v is MAC pigments in black black. To blend the colors together, I used a matter brown color in the ELF 32 color palette. For my highlight I used naked dark.
I have on MAC hibiscus cheek powder on my cheeks and hibiscus lipstick on my lips. Over that is lipgloss in strange potions. I blotted that off and put on a hot pink lipstick from elf. I blotted again and what you see is what I got.
Hope you like!

UNII Palette
$29
Product Features
Color: Pomegranate (Pink/Red)
Magnetized Palette, so makeup stays put
Adhesive magnetic sheet with writable labels
Large, full-sized mirror for the makeup on the go
Movable thumb grip
Tight, rubberized seal prevents leaks
The palette comes in a few colors: snow (white), twilight (blue), eggplant (dk purple), pomegranate (pink but looks a tad red), lemonegrass (yellow), and coal (black).
I was a bit hesitant to order as the palette looks a tad small. I was interested in the unii palette, the z-palette, and the MAC palette.
The MAC palette, according to the many YouTube videos I watched, the palette seems to be sort of flimsy when it comes to protecting your makeup during travel. I did like the price though.
The Z-palette is made of cardboard and is about the same size as the MAC palette. While I haven't had a problem with any Urban Decay cardboard palette, I wasn't sure how well the cardboard would hold up for constant travel.
The UNII Palette is the smallest out of all three palettes. That was a big reason why I muddled over the decision for so long. One good thing is that it comes with its own magnetic strips so I wont have to purchase any separately. It's made of plastic and seems to be quite sturdy.
I also looked at other palettes like the one from coastal scents but theirs don't magnetize with MAC shadows well. Since I have mostly MAC shadows that was a big thing for me but due to price I might pick up one from coastal scents later.
I decided on the UNII palette because of what it is made up of and the ease of being able to travel with it. I might purchase the Z-palette depending on how well I like the unii one. If I fall in love with it I will purchase another! I purchased the unii palette through Amazon.com only because I received gift cards from completing a survey. From amazon you had to pay $1 for shipping bringing the total for the palette to $30. Considering I didn't have to actually pay for the palette, I'm happy. Hopefully I love it!

Dylan's Candy Bar
Strawberry Licorice Candy Butter Cream
What it is:
A super-rich body moisturizer.
What it does:
It's time to indulge with Dylan's Candy Bar's Strawberry Licorice Candy Butter Cream, the perfect yummy-smelling remedy for very thirsty skin.
What else you need to know:
This unique, protective, non-greasy formula with Vitamin E, Jojoba Seed Oil, and Shea Butter (one of the world's best moisturizers) promotes healing of rough, dry skin all year long.
It smells sooooo good!....Doesn't really smell like anything strawberry though..lol. I really wanted the Body Lotion but sephora.com is all out and I was not about to pay triple the price on the Dylan Candy website. So I just picked this one up.
I was also able to get a free trial size of Bare Escentuals exclusive trio. The set includes:
Bare Escentuals bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation deluxe sample (0.01 oz) with Mini Brush and Prime Time Primer sample (0.15 oz).
*Disclaimer by Sephora.com* You will be able to select your shade: Fairly Light, Light, Medium Beige, Medium Tan, Medium Dark, Golden Dark, or Medium Deep based on availability. Valid while supplies last. Not valid on previous purchases, nor with purchases of egift certificates or gift cards. Valid for Beauty Insiders only. One offer per order. Cannot be used in conjunction with other promotion codes. Sephora reserves the right to change or end the offer at any time. Learn more about the Beauty Insider program at any Sephora store or online at http://www.sephora.com/beautyinsider.
I wanted to try a mineral based foundation. I have tried one in the past but it made my face dry and didn't really match my color correctly. I always had to mix it with a little bit of regular (liquid foundation) to get my tone or I would look ashy. Maybe this one will be different. Even if not it's free! I picked Golden Dark.
BTW if you have a free standing Sephora store (not in jc penny) then you don't have to make a purchase to receive it. All you have to do is print out the coupon or show it to associate from your phone! If only I had a free standing store in my area.

Haul Time Part 2
So...Can you tell I LOVE to shop? Lol. Anywho....I found out late last night via email confirmation that the LB assoicate that made my LB2Me purchase ordered the wrong bra. I was suppose to get the Lace T-Shirt bra in Petal Pink but for some weird reason she ordered it in Desert Flower. Now I could understand if I had not given her the EXACT bra that I wanted just in a different size! Tsk Tsk LB! I attempted to call LB online and get it corrected. The online representative stated she was unable to make changes to the existing order but she would send me out another bra at no cost to me. I would just have to send the wrong bra back (of course at not cost) when I received it. Unfortunately for me there was no more of my size online. I was able to go to a different LB and get my pink bra!!!!! You can take a look at the pink bra in a previous post if you want a looksee. I got a 40% off coupon for LB that I got to use for a cacique bra purchase that I used taking the total to $21 and some change. The other bra I will return as I dont want that color. I will just use that $25 towards my next purchase when I get to use my Real Woman dollars.
Moving on.....
I went to Forever21...lol...No matter what mall I go to I have to check them out. Now again if they would only get the plus size line in the store near me. (I do plan on visiting the store in Raleigh, NC that sells the plus line to see if they have anything I want...lol...stay tuned for that). I bought a cute bracelet and some more ankle socks....
The bracelet to my surprise is not tight (the reason I bought it..lol) As you can tell two leaves make up the end points of the bracelet. It is selling for $6.80. I could not find a picture of it online so here are my own pics.
I also bought 5 more pairs of socks. I LOVE the cute designs on them. I must admit that I hate wearing socks....or shoes for that matter. I'd rather walk around barefoot and I take my shoes off the first chance I get...lol (even if they are the baddest shoes ever)....But since I tend to get sicker as the weather gets colder my mother thinks its a good idea to wear them. If I must then I wear the thin ankle socks. F21's socks are perfect!....I don't know how long they will last since these couple of days have been my first purchase but maybe I will update that at a later date. Here are the socks I bought:
Ok so I was going to save this last item for my makeup haul but I've bought so much makeup that I will probably either do a video or list the things I bought on here with no pics. I will list where I bought them though....Anyways....Here is what I bought from MAC!...
I decided to get the collection because I originally wanted the melon pigment but that would have been $19.50 by itself. I figured I could at least try 5 different ones for twice the money. The Gift o'Glamour and Gold Mode remind me of that color. I already have the Bronze eye shadow and I really want to see if the reflect bronze glitter will look good when paired with it.
I also bought a wig.....
This go around I spent waaay less money. I don't plan on buying anything else until this coming weekend....THE BDAY WEEKEND.....Stay tuned for the Wet Seal/Forever 21 (orders from offline) update/review as well as the makeup up video or posting!

http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=beauty%5Fcosmeticbag&product%5Fid=1085652670&Page=1
This bag is a plastic feel on the outside. The inside is a plain light pink color. The bag also comes in a darker pink. Good enough for throwing in your purse.
2. Rhinestone Hoop Earrings ($4.80)
http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=acc%5Fearrings&product%5Fid=1083497066&Page=all&pgcount=25&sort=lp
These earrings are a nice size and perfect way to spice up any outfit. I'm glad I decided to purchase these!
3. Rhinestone Encrusted Earrings ($6.80)
http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=acc%5Fearrings&product%5Fid=1084521450&Page=all&pgcount=25&sort=lp
I honestly thought these earrings would be much bigger. Goes to show that you have to pay more attention to the description of earrings on the website. The earrings have are definately pretty but not worth the price. I guess that's where the rhinestones come into play. To me they are more line $3.80 or maybe $4.80 but for the price of $6.80 they should be a tad larger!
4. V-Neck Top ($8.80) (purple/navy and black/grey)
http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=faith%5Fmain&product%5Fid=2078801595&Page=all&pgcount=20&sort=lp#
I ordered a 2X (which is my usual size in most stores) because I wanted to make sure the shirt was fitted. I love long sleeved shirts that you can put your hands in. What I mean by this is that the sleeves are long on me so they will gather slightly at the wrist. The shirt stretches and will be fitted. If you want a more relaxed fit I say go one size larger as this shirt is suppose to fit fitted. They do carry one other color that I did not purchase.
5. Regular Fab Skinny Jeans ($11.50) (indigo and black)
http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=faith%5Fmain&product%5Fid=2077413813&Page=all&pgcount=20&sort=lp
As previously posted I ordered these jeans in a size 20. Forever 21 did not have an updated size chart so I did not know the measurments for their size 20 but the pants do fit. I was shocked that for the price I paid, these are actually jeans and not leggins/jeggins. I am 5'6" and the regulars are a tad long on me so like the models you can either roll them up or have that "scrunched" affect. The jeans do have give in them but fit close to the body like skinny jeans naturally do. They are indeed a great purchase and I am so glad I was able to pick them up!
I made another order with Forever 21 but I have not received it yet....
I ordered:
Basic Knit Leggings ($6.50)
Navy
I ordered a 3X. I do want to order more of the leggings but I first want to see how these fit before I splurge due to the lame return policy Forever21 has.
I also ordered two rings:
Grand Dame Cocktail Ring ($3.80)
Large Faceted Ring ($3.80)
Both rings have a stretch band as these are the only ones I can wear from F21. Stay tuned for Torrid/Wet Seal/Makeup Haul/Review.
