postheadericon Instyler

So after years of thinking about it, I finally broke down and purchased an Instyler. If you're anything like me, you've watched the infomercials and wondered if your hair could get as straight as the models....

A tid bit about my hair:

I have natural African American hair. It you are familiar with the hair chart, I have a mix of 3C, 4A, and 4B hair... Mostly 4A. My first time using the Instyler took a while. Not as long as it did the first time I ever flat iron but 45 min is still quite some time.

I've used it twice now. I have to say.that I do like it. I like the fact that you can curl your hair and you don't have to worry about any bends. I also found that my hair wasn't hot to touch like it can sometimes be with a flat iron.

I parted my hair into four sections; two in the front kind of like pigtails and two in the back..... Reminiscent of four corners... Lol. I spray some more heat protectant and set out to work.

Now the first time I used the heat guard. I honestly don't like it because I can't get my roots. If you don't need to get your roots then the heat guard will be good for you. If you don't use it then you have to be careful because you can easily burn yourself.

Now I'm not sure if my sections of hair were too big or what but I found that I had to go over each section about three times to get it straight.

Over all I would say I like it, but I would only purchase it if you can get a good deal on it. If you rarely use heat on your hair then you might think twice about purchasing it. Just keep in that when you do want to use hear you have a straightener and curler in one with this product!

postheadericon Influenster Palmolive VoxBox

Not too long ago I received my second VoxBox. I'm not sure how I qualified for the Palmolive box but I did.

I received three full sized 16 oz. bottles of liquid dish soap. They all smell so wonderfully delicious!

The sent me:

Ginger White Tea (pink)
Lemon Thyme (yellow)
Lime Basel (green)

Now the reason for sending three is so you can give two away to friends/family so they can test them out too. It was so hard giving them away but I ended up keeping the pink one.

I'm not sure why but when I smell it I think of grapefruit and pink lemonade. Lol.

When I first opened the box, one was leaking. Not badly but still. I thought these were bigger than I thought they would be and I love the fact that one was pink! Because they smelled so good, I didn't think they would work well. I have come to equate cleaning supplies as smelling well like cleaning supplies. Lol. Boy was I wrong.

I find that this soap works well on cleaning dishes. The smell is a plus in my opinion. I've used other soaps that smell detergent like but these clean and smell nice! It doesn't take much to get the dishes clean... Well no more than any other detergent I've used so this bottle will go a long way.

Bottom line I would purchase them with my own money.

Can't wait until my next VoxBox!!

postheadericon Shoe Dazzle: Rapidan Envelope Clutch

As you know from my previous post, I am a member of ShoeDazzle shoe club. Needless to say I took advantage of their 70% off sale again!!

I purchase this envelope style clutch for only $8.98. No tax and free shipping. I just felt like tis clutch is so great for a night out. You can't fit much in it. Your cell phone, car keys and lipgloss/lipstick will fit comfortably in it. Any more than that and it will be too much.

It does have a detachable gold chain. An if you can't tell by the pictures the decoration part on the flap is gold tone. It looks silver in pictures but matches the gold chain/strap perfectly.

I just received the clutch today so I have not taken it out but I tend to wear a lot of black so this would definitely be the focal point of my outfit.

What are your favorite clutches?

postheadericon Iron Fist

I've been in dire need of new sneakers for work because flats don't have enough coushin for the hard tile we have where I work. I decided to check out the Iron Fish Website and boy am I glad I did!

$25.00
Originally: $45.00
Sale: $18.00
Originally: $45.00
Sale: $18.00

I placed two different orders. The first shoe was the latest purchase and I was able to get free shipping (shipusa) and 20% off. Because there are no taxes I paid a flat $20.00 for them.

The second and third pair were purchased together. I was able to get 20% off (holiday) which took $7.20 off but I was charged shipping. Shipping was about $13.20. I ended up spending $42 and some change on them. I think that was pretty good!

The ultimate deal has to be what I scored on the Kiss Of Death Duffle Bag. It is retailing for $100.00 on the Iron Fist website but I got mine for $39.95 for JustFab! And if you sign up now you can get 50% off your first purchase bringing the price down to $19.97. That is a huge savings!

I thought the bag would make a great travel bag and since I had a credit I really didn't pay anything for it at all!

postheadericon F21+

Yes I made another purchase at Forever 21! I so wish the plus line was in my local store. They would get my entire paycheck! Anyhoo I only picked up some skinnies....

Fuchsia

Blue

Coral

$24.80

Forever 21+ - A pair of skinny jeans that features a basic 5 pocket construction, tonal stitching, tab button closure at the waist, and a zip fly. Antique finish hardware. Lightweight. Woven. Unlined.

DETAILS:
- 31.5" approx inseam, 37" waist, 12" leg opening, 10.5" rise, 22" thigh girth
- Measured from Size 14
- 75% cotton, 24% polyester, 1% spandex
- Machine wash cold, line dry

They have white ones but they were all sold out in my size. *sad face* And the coral ones look red which is why I went ahead and purchased them. I might return them if they aren't. We shall see.

With code F21PLUS10 I got 10% off each pair of pants. My subtotal was $66.96. With tax of $4.53 and free shipping, I spent $71.49. A little more than I wanted to pay for three pairs of pants but I would have had to spend the same amount or more anywhere else so I went ahead and splurged a little.

In the set I purchased there is perversion (pitch black), ransom (irridescent purple), woodstock (bold pink), radium (blue), and junkie (sparkle green).

postheadericon I LOVE Pastry!

While on a Internet shopping spree I decided that I needed some pastries in my life. The shoe that is!...While on the site I saw a pair of booties I have been wanting since FOREVER ago along with a couple of other shoes priced at $10 each!

Canvas upper Ballet flat Cute bow with heart ornament.

I just couldn't pass up this cute pink flat! That bow is too pretty!

The Home Sweet Home heels are a Pastry heel that will make any Lion, Tin Man, Scarecrow, or Wizard take a second look. These pumps come with a FREE Matching Pair of Pastry Flats. Both pairs of Pasty shoes are imposed with sequins. The Home Sweet Home heel has the Pastry logo Embroidered on the heel bed. For only $10 I couldn't pass up the deal of two for one! The flats are just adorable with all of the sequins and who know when a pink sequin heel might complete an outfit! I shall be ready! This shoe is also available in black but my size wasn't available.

If you are looking for a sassy Bootie with a Pastry name the Sprinkle bootie is the way to go. These boots are sure to "wow" anyone. A red bootie sprinkled with gold studs and a small cozy heel, always leave the house in style. The Layered red Leather is a way to look chic on all occasions. Gold Studs Layered Red Leather Cozy Heel.

This red bootie has had my eye for a while. I just didn't want to pay the original price of $50 for it. For $10, it was definitely a steal! It also comes in black and brown. I wanted the black but my size was OOS.

So like I originally stated all of the shoes were $10 each so that brought my subtotal to $30. I used a 10% discount code that took $3.00. With shipping of $6.16, I ended up paying $33.16 for three (well technically 4) pairs of shoes. GREAT deal!

Get stylish protection from the sun with this wide brim straw hat. An excellent accessory for any sunny day!

Now this hat is perfect for the upcoming summer weather! This particular one comes in black (pictured) and pink. They have other similar hats...one of which is black/white striped and a turquoise/white striped hat. I figured black would go well with everything.

Original: $49.95
Paid: $29.97

Fashionable hobo bag features a fun, fold-over design, with zipper trim and belt detailing. Spacious bag offers plenty of room to carry all the essentials with two exterior zippered pockets, interior zippered compartment and two technology pockets. Polka dot lined interior. Optional shoulder strap included.

I've been wanting a white bag for a while now. This one is versatile enough to wear it over the shoulder or on the arm. I love the pink interior!

Was $16.50
Now $4.99
Color: Sugarberry

Control-top tights provide a smooth, slimming look and are perfect under skirts and tunics. Pull-on elastic waist styling with cotton-lined crotch

I don't have any pink tights.I started to get the purple ones but opted not because I tend to think purple on my bottom half is too reminiscent of barney....That's a BIG no no!

Anyhoo...That's my summer luvin haul from the infamous LB!
